Once used by Chinese Crimson Dragoon troops and Black Ghost counter-insurgency/terror units before and during the Great War, such armor is a rarity in the Mojave.
While its protective capabilities are limited, the stealth boost it provides is undoubtedly useful to any survivor who wishes to either stay hidden from, or ambush unsuspecting enemies.
- With the right setup, this armor's use can work substantially well for players specializing in light armor and stealth. Taking the Coward perk and/or Tunnel Runner both grant users of light armor differing movement buffs, while the latter also decreases the chance for enemies to score critical hits.
- The most obvious downside to this armor is the existence of only two suits, however the Jury Rigging perk offsets this by allowing it to be repaired by nearly, if not all light armor.
Behind the Scenes
DUST reuses the Chinese stealth armor available in Fallout: New Vegas, and its characteristics appear to be completely unchanged.
- Two suits lay dormant in the office level of Hoover Dam, inside of a storage room alongside barrels of radioactive waste.
